Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. She started her career in 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab made her extremely famous. Her next appearance on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance from a very young age. In her early years, as she began acting as a young actress, most films that she made did not succeed. She eventually found success and became one of the top actors on the Indian film industry. The actress took a hiatus from her career following her marriage before returning to the world of entertainment. Recenty, she had a major performance in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit is nominated to win the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Social work by her is well-known.
