MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In 2020 he released the album that charted Dopamina and co-wrote Mala Influencia with Noriel. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI on her cult online single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a musical household both his parents have been musicians. According to him, musicality was a fundamental aspect of his daily life. He started playing the saxophone, guitar, ukulele and keyboard as a young child. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian was able to convince him to sing by working with a Cuban instructor. What he got was realizing that he had the ability to sing, altered the direction of his life.
